Discoverypoint is one of the few board-approved transfer programs in Washington State, offering transfer opportunities for students from other massage programs and potential pathways to Washington licensure for LMTs trained or licensed in other states. Transfer credit is considered case by case based on previous coursework, transcripts, and demonstrated competency.

When your research game is strong — and you have an artistic streak to match!

Earlier this quarter, students were put into small groups, then assigned two different pathologies to compare and contrast. Each group created a poster and presented it to the rest of the class. Every poster was amazing and informative, but this one caught our eye with an illustration and a new signature catchphrase. (Look in the lower right corner for your new mantra!) 😀

This is one of the many ways we put experiential learning front and center in our classrooms. We don't allow ourselves to settle for the standard lecture/slides/notes format — or worse, a pre-recorded video of slides with a talking head — and neither should you. Our in-person classes engage brains and bodies in ways that make learning fun, interactive, and personalized for each learner.✨

Seattle-area LMTs — there's still time to sign up for a free student massage with Discoverypoint! (Roosevelt/Greenlake area, 65th and Roosevelt.)

We're hosting an LMT Feedback Lab on Monday, August 17th: 9:45am & 12pm.

Slots are 90 minutes, which will include ~50-60 minutes of hands-on massage time, plus time for verbal feedback with the students.

Cost is free, but if you sign up please show up. 🙂 (And if you need to cancel at the last minute, please find a colleague to fill in and take your place. Thank you!)

We still have a few supervised prenatal massage appointments available between 5:45 pm and 7:45 pm.

Pregnancy can bring a lot of changes, and massage may help support comfort throughout the journey. Sessions are provided by students under the supervision of our experienced instructors.
