❤️ Thank you to all our families who joined us tonight for our ribbon cutting ✂️, ice cream social/supply drop off. From the pack up of our school in June to our unpacking the last few days, the outpouring of love and support has been overwhelmingly! As staff the work was hard but ALL worth it…because of the COLLECTIVE support. OLG is GREAT because of you! Thank you for being a part of our story. ✝️As Saint Teresa of Ávila famously noted, Christ has no physical hands or feet on Earth now except yours.

We are thrilled to share that Mr. Wyatt has been hired as our new Preschool Lead Teacher! For those of you who have been in our ELC program, you may recall Mr. Wyatt as one of our aftercare team members. He has also worked closely with our K-8 students through recess, classroom support, and in our middle school.

Mr. Wyatt brings a passion for early learning, a heart for our Catholic education, and enthusiasm to share everything he is learning in his studies with our youngest learners and community.

Please see below, the message from Mr. Wyatt in his own words:

Dear OLG Community,

I am so honored and super excited to take on the role of Preschool Lead Teacher! As many of you know, last school year was my first year at OLG, and I quickly came to realize how special this community is. I had so many wonderful experiences working with the children, and what started as a new experience soon became something I deeply cherished.

As I continue pursuing my education in Early Childhood Education, I am eager to bring what I have learned into the classroom and continue growing as an educator. I hope to foster a faith-filled environment where every child feels that they belong and experiences the love of Christ.

I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to continue serving the OLG community in a new capacity. I look forward to getting to know each child and family and helping our preschoolers build the skills, confidence, and love of learning that they will carry with them throughout their lives.

I can’t wait to start this new year with all of you!

⭐️ We are so excited for you to meet the newest member of the GUAD SQUAD! Welcome Ms. Flores, we are looking forward to getting to know you! Read more here. ➡️Some fun facts about me:
- I was born and raised in Selah, WA.
- I earned my BA in interdisciplinary studies at Seattle University June of 2026. I am now working on earning my masters in teaching at Seattle University.
- I am the oldest of 9 children, so when I am not in class or working I am usually spending time with my younger siblings.
- In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching Marvel movies, cooking, and playing mini golf (although I am not very good). I also enjoy exploring new places when possible.
- This year I am looking forward to teaching and learning at the same time and building new connections with OLG staff, families, and students.

Last week our Principal, Vice Principal, ELC Director, Development Director and Office Staff were present at the annual INSPIRE conference. What an amazing opportunity to learn and lean into all the good things we bring to our staff, students and families-or strive to everyday! 🚨Our new Vice Principal alert! A note from Mrs. Gazewood➡️ Dear OLG Families, Faculty, and Staff,
As a member of the wonderful Our Lady of Guadalupe community, I am absolutely thrilled—and deeply
honored—to be stepping into a new role as your Vice Principal!
OLG is not just where I work; it is my home. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving our community
as a fellow parishioner, experiencing the magic of OLG firsthand as the proud parent of an OLG graduate,
shepherding young Guadalupan as a first-grade teacher, and working closely with many of our children as
our Learning Support Specialist. Since my heart is so deeply invested in our students’ diverse learning
needs, I will continue overseeing our tiered support services and providing targeted math support for our
1st–5th graders alongside my new leadership duties.
Bringing Notre Dame’s Best to OLG ☘
To prepare for this transition, I am spending part of my summer under the Golden Dome at the University of
Notre Dame, participating in the Remick Leadership Program for Catholic school leaders. My time
collaborating with phenomenal educators from across the globe has been deeply inspiring. I am focusing

as ever. I am returning to West Seattle with a full heart, fresh inspiration, and a deep gratitude for this
community that has given my own family so much.
I can’t wait to welcome our children back to school this fall and partner with you all in this new way. Enjoy
