ArtsUW kicked off the school year and welcomed new students with Arts (and Ice Cream!) for All at the Meany Center for the Performing Arts. Prize wheels were spun, linocuts were stamped, photos snapped, ice cream served, and hundreds of Huskies got the scoop on everything the arts community at University of Washington has to offer.

"University of Washington School of Art Professor Emeritus Akio Takamori taught in the building for 21 years and — after his retirement in 2014 — made frequent visits to reconnect with colleagues and students. For the first time in 24 years, Takamori will not be returning to the building."
