Join us in welcoming Sophie Lovejoy '22 of this year’s Seattle Prep Alumni Service Corp Team!

Sophie says, “I cannot wait to begin the opportunity of immersing myself once again in the Prep community, this time with the chance to give back to the place that prepared me so well for the years since I graduated. Join us in welcoming Father Matthew Pyrć as a Seattle Prep Theology Teacher and Adult Faith Formation Director!✨

Fr. Pyrć most recently served as the Jesuits’ West Vocation Promoter where he led retreats, presented to youth and young adult groups, and ran a discernment house in Seattle.

Prior to his work as Vocation Promoter, Fr. Pyrć served as the Parochial Vicar at St. Joseph Parish where he performed sacraments, directed the parish art & environment committee, and led the St. Joe’s parish school faculty & staff formation, among other responsibilities. He was a Theology Teacher at Jesuit High in Sacramento and at Jesuit High in Portland and served as a Campus Minister at Seattle University where he directed retreats and fostered faith sharing communities.

Fr. Pyrć holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, a Bachelor of Sacred Theology and a Master of Divinity from Regis College, the Toronto School of Theology, and the University of Toronto, and a Master of Theology and Licentiate of Sacred Theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Santa Clara University. Last year, he also served on Seattle Prep's Principal Search Committee!

As our recent graduates, Class of 2026, head off to nearly 200 colleges and universities around the world, others are finishing.

Prep alum John O'Donnell ’22 was recognized by Cal Poly (San Luis Obispo) as a "2026 Great Grad" by the College of Engineering. John, an aeronautical engineering major has been a leader on the Formula car race team since his freshman year.

He says, "I'm most effective when I'm close to the hardware," he says. "It's the reason I pursued a role at Boeing. I realized that I don't want to just sit behind a screen; I want to be on the floor applying fundamental engineering to real-world production challenges."
