We are so excited to announce that Dr. Scott W. Allard will be our keynote speaker for KINGMUN 2025! Scott W. Allard is the Daniel J. Evans Endowed Professor of Social Policy at the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington with research expertise in poverty, inequality, and social welfare policy. Allard is author of Out of Reach: Place, Poverty, and the New American Welfare State (2009, Yale University Press), which examines the spatial and organizational challenges confronting local safety net providers. His most recent book, Places in Need: The Changing Geography of Poverty in America (2017, Russell Sage Foundation Press), focuses on the changing geography of poverty within metropolitan America and which aspects of the contemporary safety net respond well to these changes. He received his PhD in Political Science from the University of Michigan and his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. We look forward to hearing from Dr. Allard!

We highly recommend you view the resources page before the conference when writing your position paper and reviewing your committee’s ROP!

KINGMUN committees have expanded! Due to high demand, UNFPII, UNCLOS, UNODC and LoN have expanded, and we highly encourage interested delegates to register. Late Registration opens March 30th.

Media Intern Applications for KINGMUN 2026 are now officially open! We highly encourage all with a passion for photography, videography, and graphic design to apply, and emphasize that past Model UN experience is not necessary.

The application can be found on the homepage of our website, as well as linked in our bio! Applications close on March 21st, 11:59 P.M. We look forward to reviewing your submissions, and please do not hesitate to contact [email protected] with any questions or concerns about the position.
