Come, Holy Spirit! 🕊️

Today, our school community gathered to celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit, a wonderful way to begin our new school year together in faith.

At the conclusion of Mass, we also took a special moment to welcome and recognize our new students and staff as they begin their journey at OLL. 💚💛

A special thank you to our student lectors, altar server, gift bearers, choir, and all those who helped lead us in such a beautiful Mass.

May the Holy Spirit continue to guide us as we Nurture Hearts, Inspire Minds, and Ignite Spirits throughout the year ahead.

Our Middle School houses have some new members! 💚💛

This week, our newest Middle Schoolers were officially sorted into their Mentor Group Houses, and the energy in the gym was INCREDIBLE! Our 6th graders, along with new 7th and 8th grade students, discovered which house they would call their own and were immediately welcomed with cheers, high fives, and open arms.

Once our houses were complete, it was time for some fun! Students jumped into team challenges, worked together, laughed A LOT, and had the chance to get to know their Mentor Groups even better.

Our Mentor Groups are about so much more than a little friendly competition. It creates smaller communities within our Middle School where students across grade levels can build relationships, encourage one another, and know they have a place where they belong.

And judging by the welcome our newest members received, we think they got that message loud and clear. 💚💛

First Day of School 💚💛

And just like that, a new school year has begun!

Our first morning back was filled with so many of the things that make OLL special. Our staff arrived to thoughtful treats from Parents Club, students reunited with friends, and our whole community gathered together as Fr. Heric blessed our doors, students, staff, and families as we begin the year ahead.

Afterward, Parents Club welcomed our families to the MPR for Parents & Pastries, giving everyone a chance to visit, reconnect, and celebrate the start of another year together.

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin. Here’s to a wonderful year of learning, growing, faith, friendship, and plenty of Laker spirit!

What a way to kick off a new school year! It was so much fun seeing our OLL community back together, catching up with old friends, welcoming new families, and watching our campus come alive again. 🦁⭐

Join us Monday, August 31 from 5:00–7:30 PM as we kick off another great year at OLL!

🏫 Classrooms open from 5:00–6:15 PM to meet teachers and drop off school supplies
🍕 Paw Provisions will have pizza, snacks & drinks available for purchase
🎉 Bounce house + yard games

🍪 Sweet treats from Sugar & Spoon

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, godfathers, uncles, and father figures who guide and support our students. Thank you for the many ways you show up for the children in your lives and help them grow into caring, confident young people. We are grateful for all you do and hope you enjoy a wonderful day with your loved ones.

The halls are quiet, the classrooms are packed away, and another school year has come to a close.

A familiar tradition to close another school year.

For many years, You Can Go Now has been the final song of our end-of-year prayer service. As its familiar words filled the church once again, we paused to reflect on a year of learning, growth, friendship, and faith.

Another chapter comes to a close, carrying with us the memories and lessons that made this year special. 💚💛
