☀️ General Responsibilities ☀️
● Attend weekly, 1 hour meetings (Autumn Quarter: Friday from 2 - 3pm)
● Attend all club events (About 2-3 events a year, including the Conference)
● Timely communication with the team through Discord!
● Motivated and a self-starter - come to meetings with ideas, meet deadlines, etc.
● Help reach out to professional contacts/networks
Marketing Officer Descriptions:
○ Event marketing on social media (posting on multiple groups, pages)
○ Media coverage (reaching out to publications or media for event coverage)
○ Department outreach (emailing departments)
○ Organization outreach (various UX related local groups)
■ General school outreach (hang posters, school calendars, etc.)
■ Creating FB Event page – work with PR to update and post reminders
■ Responsible for reaching attendance goals for each event
■ Co-planner for conference marketing campaign
○ Maintain social media outlets:
■ Posting regular, interesting content (articles, opportunities, etc. Can come
from emails.)
■ Posting club announcements/updates
■ Day-of-event coverage on social media

Reminder! Come join the Women in User Experience team! WiUX is aimed to empower, connect and support women in technology and design fields at the University of Washington.
We currently have five positions available including an Events Officer, Marketing Officer, Conference Officer, Sponsorship Officer, and a Co-President!

Here list some of the general responsibilities for all officers:

Excited to announce our last speaker at this year’s conference, Nanako Era (she/her)!
Nanako Era leads inclusive research for Anti-discrimination at Airbnb. She works to uncover and diminish inequities that exist for Airbnb hosts and travelers, while also creating and evangelizing inclusive practices for product teams.
