Due to fallout from the pandemic and loss of revenue from events, Ignition is no longer able to continue operating the space. Thus far the almost unanimous response from current members is that we should drive on and keep as much of the space as we are able as a member co-op or other reorganization. In order to plan for this, we need to understand what commitment we are all willing to make.
Thank you all for the effort and energy you have put into the space, and for sharing your thoughts and commitments as we all decide the next dimension.

Hey folks,
Due to the panic surrounding the deadly Coronavirus Governor Inslee has invoked his emergency powers to ban large gatherings in our state. While gatherings of less than 250 people are still allowed, King County has placed additional restrictions on such smaller events.
In order to ensure compliance with the law and to help squash the spread of this contagion we've decided to temporarily cancel all public events at ALTSpace. The space will still be available for members to work on their projects, but if you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 or if you have a compromised immune system please consider whether you need to work on that project *right now*.
We'll be bulking up on cleaning supplies for the space, so for the next couple months let's try to leave the space 30% cleaner than you found it.

Tuition is $250 with gear included. This amazing workshop is a HUGE value! Monday/Thursday classes may have more opportunity for intermediate/advanced study and you have the option to bring your own kit, for reduced tuition.

"If you love to make fat original analog bass and other sounds to sequence in tracks or plug into the pa live, build a eurorack module out of something circuit bent from scratch, or if you just want to learn, check out this workshop series..
I'm teaching my circuit bending tricks in a 4 part weekly workshop series starting at 6pm this Sunday and it comes with a load of goodies..plus a full soldering kit and enough components to bend other stuff too when the workshop series is over.. if you were to go buy everything you get to keep, it would be more than I'm charging for the classes. I love circuit bending. When the series is over, if you don't already, you will probably love it too. We are bending my all time favorite in 18 years of bending things, I really splurged on the toy we're bending no joke 50 bucks each for this thing I decided the other day we should go with my all time favorite, I wish someone had shown me what I'll be showing you .... gotta register to find out what it is. The series costs 250 with 150 down to register 120 down for altspace altspaceseattle.com members and the other 100 whenever. With 4 same level workshops weekly at different times ,wed or sun, noon or 6pm for 4 weeks. This way, you can shuffle what class you go to depending on your schedule. Includes a basic membership to altspace too so you can come noodle things between classes if you want. Space is limited and its filling up quickly. I'm keeping a signup open for a Wed class start open until Sunday unless it fills up before then the this Sunday class start at 6pm is almost full, there are a couple spots open for that one but I'm closing signup on that at midnight tomorrow also unless it fills up before then.
