Looking for Ms. Kristin Gimelli Hemme, or Ms. GH as she is known by all her students? Either she is prepping for her next science experiment in Hope's new science lab or you'll find her hiking or journaling - soaking up plenty of time outside. Ms. GH's love for the outdoors is a natural conduit for teaching science to our 6th through 8th grade students. Ms. GH also is the 7th grade homeroom and literacy teacher. She once walked the halls of Hope Lutheran School and graduated from both Hope and Seattle Lutheran High School before earning a B.S. from MIT and a Master's in Theology from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. Ms. GH might be one of the smartest people we know.
And she's back now to pass on that knowledge (and love for learning) to the younger generation. Her goal? To empower students to find creative ways to solve problems and explore the wonder of God's creation. This is the kind of top-tier approach to education that she wants to provide for her students and their families.
Welcome Ms. GH and thank you for helping to expand our knowledge!

Thank you to Hope and SLHS alum Grant Ball for returning to help coach the Hope Lutheran Church & School Eagles along with Hope and SLHS supporter Scott Okabayashi as boys head coach, joined by Jamie Cortinaz, new Hope parent, as well as Hope and SLHS alum Jacob Menashe as girls head coach. The first home games were Thursday. The girls played Zion and the boys played Lighthouse, both Hope teams taking a W! The Eagle found former SLHS girls head basketball coach, Bruce Carlson, in the gym watching the games.

Guess who turned 80 today! Shirley Vradenburgh, that's who! And first and second grade sang happy birthday 🎂 to her. We are so blessed to have Shirley active in our Hope community. She recently returned from Seaside from the All Workers conference! She knows so many people throughout her time of service with Seattle Lutheran and Hope Church. Thank you Shirley and blessings to you on this most happy day!
