🐚 𓇼Toddlers getting ready for their salt water field trip to Golden Gardens by exploring seashells and observing tadpoles!

🌊🦀 Tide pooling adventures with Junior Explorers! 🦀🌊

Our Junior Explorers explored the shoreline at Golden Gardens during low tide, searching for marine life hidden among the rocks and tide pools. Friends discovered sea anemones, crabs, moon snails, a sea star, and even a nudibranch — all while learning how to carefully explore and protect delicate beach habitats.

The day also included feeding ducks and turtles healthy snacks, observing ducklings along the water, and winding down with watercolor shell painting in the sand. A beautiful day full of curiosity, creativity, and hands-on connection with the natural world. 💛

🌬️ 🎉 Mini Explorers harness the power of the wind! We decorated wind catchers and watched the wind blow rainbow streamers.

⛴️🌊 Junior Explorers set sail! 🌊⛴️

Last week our Junior Explorers took a ferry adventure from Edmonds to Kingston, spending the day observing the water, boats, seaweed, construction equipment, and all the moving parts that make the ferry run. Friends asked thoughtful questions about how the ferry worked and explored maps to see where they were in relation to home and the surrounding waterways.

The adventure continued with park play, bubbles, beach exploration, and low tide discoveries — digging toes into the sand, collecting shells, and searching for marine life along the shore. A day full of curiosity, exploration, and hands-on learning about our local environment! 💛

🚛🌎 Mini Explorers on the move! 🌎🚛

Our Mini Explorers met by the transfer station to learn all about big trucks and how we can care for our planet. After reading stories about vehicles and making a positive impact on our climate, we walked over to watch the real trucks in action — a big hit!

With songs, toy trucks, and hands-on learning about recycling and compost, it was a day full of curiosity, movement, and early environmental awareness. 💛

Our Infants class has been soaking up time together — playing outside in the fresh air, sharing meals, and engaging with one another through smiles, sounds, and simple interactions. These everyday moments are where connection begins, for both babies and their grown-ups. 💛
