Last week, we wrapped up our end-of-year adventures β a beloved KapKa tradition that celebrates growth, connection, and all that we've accomplished together.
These trips remind us that learning happens everywhere. Students practice flexibility, discover their strengths, support one another, and challenge themselves to try new things. Along the way, they build confidence, resilience, and lasting memories.
ποΈ Our 5th graders completed an incredible backpacking trip to Snowbowl Hut in Mount Rainier National Park, carrying full packs, planning and cooking their own meals, and returning with tired feet and strong memories.
π₯ Our rising Trailblazers (current 3rd & 4th graders) enjoyed an overnight at Camp Long filled with ropes courses, team-building challenges, campfires, and singalongs.
π Our Kindergarten students celebrated their first year together with a joyful beach day at Golden Gardens, while our rising Navigators (current 1st & 2nd graders) explored Discovery Park through games, adventure, and time in community.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible staff and families who make these experiences possible β whether you joined us on-site, helped your child prepare to try something new, or supported the school behind the scenes. These five days are busy, meaningful, and transformative, and we couldn't do it without you.
This is what community-powered learning looks like. β€οΈ
