The RBC Race for the Kids is THIS SATURDAY, June 6th, and we can't wait to see you there!

June is Pride Month, a time to honor, celebrate, and uplift the LGBTQ+ community while remembering the courage that shaped the fight for equality. Pride commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City, a pivotal moment that sparked a global movement for LGBTQ+ rights, and reminds us of the ongoing resilience, bravery, and determination of those who continue to stand for justice and inclusion.

Throughout June, cities around the world celebrate Pride with parades, festivals, and gatherings filled with joy, love, and solidarity. These events shine a light on LGBTQ+ voices, stories, and experiences while also raising awareness of the challenges many still face. Pride is both a celebration and a call to action, a space where everyone can show up as their authentic selves and be embraced for who they are. Last week, Boyer had the special opportunity to participate in a Board Development Workshop hosted by the UW Consulting & Business Development Center! It was a chance for Board Fellows, nonprofit leaders, and partners to explore how strategic storytelling and modern marketing can strengthen leadership and community impact. We were especially excited to see Boyer Board Members Keisha Jackson and Jill Nikolaisen Tennant (who served as a session panelist)! A huge thank you to the CBDC for this inspiring morning!

This dedicated crew spent the day helping to beautify and maintain our outdoor spaces, ensuring Boyer remains a warm and welcoming place for our children, families and staff.
