CHOOSE YOUR ROLE IN LESCHI
OUR FAMILY: We’re a warm, active family of four who love spending time together and making the most of life in Seattle. One parent works fully remotely, while the other has a hybrid schedule and primarily works from a downtown office. Our four-year-old daughter is imaginative, curious, and full of personality, with a particular love of stories, books, art projects, dancing, climbing, and imaginative storytelling—whether she’s listening to a story, telling one herself, or acting out elaborate adventures with her teddies. Our baby is an easygoing, social little six-month-old guy who loves being part of the action, exploring new foods and skills, and joining us wherever the day takes us. We enjoy getting outside in the city on our bikes or heading to the trails to hike, climb and mountain bike. Our daughter is starting her second year of preschool, where she’ll be Monday–Friday, 8–3pm. On weekdays after school, you’ll often find us shell hunting at the nearby beach, having friends over for play, or working on a project at home (baking, gardening, crafting, or whatever captures our interest that day). One of our favorite projects recently was making a rainbow rice sensory bin! As parents, we value warmth, consistency, curiosity, and engaged attention, and we try to create a predictable but flexible environment where our children feel secure enough to explore, be themselves, develop independence, and learn to be thoughtful members of their community.
OUR HOME: Is a single family home with a fenced yard, a separate playroom for the kids, and walking distance to the water, playground, coffee shops, and neighborhood garden. We are also a pescetarian household and do not currently have pets at home but plan to get cats in the near future.
OUR GOALS: We aim to provide a warm, consistent, and predictable environment where both children feel secure, supported, and encouraged to grow in independence, curiosity, and confidence.
OUR SONG: “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles.
OUR NANNY -or- FAMILY ASSISTANT (choose one): Nanny role: Solely child-focused. We are looking for a caregiver who can be engaged and attentive- reading, playing, talking, singing, creating, exploring, and supporting emotional development- while maintaining flexible routines around our baby’s naps, meals, and transitions and giving the 4-year-old meaningful one-on-one attention. We value active, screen-free days filled with outdoor time, imaginative play, crafts, books, music, and connection, and hope for a caregiver who feels like a trusted extension of our parenting, aligned with our values and comfortable taking initiative while respecting our routines and boundaries.
Family Assistant Role: Childcare and household blend. Duties will include childcare and following routine as outlined by parents, family errands, oversight of health and safety, family laundry, age-appropriate activities, transportation, outings to parks, classes, playdates, grocery shopping, meal preparation, tidying common areas and organization projects as time allows.
