Looking for a summer-camp for your kids? Look no further! It’s not too late to sign up for Peace Camp International!

It’s an unique all-ages(4-17), non-denominational community day-camp experience for children and youth which takes place each Summer in Ballard neighborhood.

Lots of fun field trips (beach, local parks, pool), unstructured play time with mix-age kids (4-17), opening/closing circle to check-in, fun int'l dance time and meditation with our counselors from Uganda and India. Most of our 15+yo grew up with Peace Camp and are awesome CITs (counselor in training)- they are ready to play with young campers!

It's hard to explain about our camp in one word, but I can guarantee that your kids will have SO MUCH FUN, FEEL SAFE and CONNECTED. Our focus is on being inclusive, kind, and accepting each other as who we are.

Help Us Keep Free Plastic Film Recycling Next Year!

Do you want our free plastic film recycling pick-ups to continue in the 2025-26 school year? Then consider joining Ridwell and helping us spread the word!

Last year, our school participated in a plastic film drive through Ridwell. Thanks to 10 new Ridwell sign-ups from our school community, we've enjoyed free Ridwell pick-ups of plastic film all year!

We now have the chance to extend this benefit for the 2025-26 school year — but we need your help. To keep the free plastic recycling pick-ups, we need 8 more families to join Ridwell by May 23rd. Families can sign up locally or in any area serviced by Ridwell — it all counts!

Please help us reach our goal by signing up or sharing our special McDonald sign-up page with friends and family.

It's the Annual Southeast Seattle Education Coalition Flower Sale to support local famers and Equity Funds, like Central and North Seattle Schools PTA Alliance (CANSSPA)!

Pre-order gorgeous bouquets grown by local flower farmers and pick up on Saturday, May 10, just in time for Mother's Day. The pick-up sites and times are:
Olympic Hills Elementary, 10am-12pm
Loyal Heights Elementary, 11am-1pm
McDonald Intl Elementary, 12pm-2pm
Leschi Elementary, 1pm-3pm

Bouquets are $60 each or 2 for $100.
Where does your money go? $30 from each bouquet goes to the local farmers (founder Friendly Johnson-Vang has partnered with PNW BIPOC Farmland Trust). $20 goes to the Equity Fund (e.g. CANSSPA). The remaining $10 goes to administrative costs.

Spring After-School Enrichment - Registration Extended

After-School Enrichment registration was extended through Friday, 4/4 at 10pm. Here is the full class schedule. Prices are listed in 6crickets, the online registration tool.

Spring classes begin on Monday, 4/21 and run through Friday, 6/13 (with no class on 5/26 for Memorial Day).

The following classes all have spots open and would love to have more students:

Mondays: Parkour SEL Games (K-2), Math Creations (2-5), Jr. Coding (1-2)
Tuesdays: Lego Architecture (K-2), Coding (3-5)
Wednesdays: W***y Wonka (1-5), Nihongo (K-5)
Thursdays: Stop Motion Animation (3-5), Hand Sewing (K-5)
