Tuition for a month ranges from $150 to $250 depending on the length of instruction. Adults can take single hourly lessons for $70mo. As an integral part of this program, lessons are set up to optimize comprehensive musicianship using creative teaching technics, activities and peer coaching if possible. Students learn in all 12 keys, modes, by ear, sight-reading, transposing, proper technic, all f
orms of music, multiple styles from classical to jazz, composing, improvising, chords and much more. We have fun together while becoming excellent musicians. Lyn McKay's experience includes 20 years of owning her own keyboard studio, years of studying accordion, piano and organ graduating with a music degree form Whitworth College, 27 years of experience in public school music, 5 years as a classroom teacher, mentoring teachers for over 20 years, Guest teaching as a substitute for 6 years, consultant for IPTF(International Piano Teaching Foundation and a facilitator for National Board Candidates. She graduated with a BA in Music and Masters in Education with an emphasis on Multicultural Education, both with honors. She became Nationally Board Certified in Music with a perfect score in 2003.
