Yesterday we met with Daniel Ratner, one of the devoted deans in the University of Washington College of Engineering.

Dr. Nancy Allbritton, the Dean of the College of Engineering also stopped by to chat and say hello.

These Deans genuinely care about the individual students.

We had a great conversation about students engineers and their experiences on campus.

We spoke about how to make sure every Jewish Husky in engineering feels welcomed and supported.

Looking forward to a great year ahead with great campus partners.

Mazel Tov, Harrison, on your very own pair of Tefillin!

September was Harrison’s first time ever wrapping Tefillin. Now, thanks to a generous donors, he’s got his very own pair.

Harrison shared “I have great grandparents on both sides of my family that endured the holocaust in Poland and Russia. They were persecuted for their religious beliefs and freedoms. Many Jewish people sacrificed so much just to be able to wrap Tefillin, and I want to carry on that sacrifice by continuing to wrap in their honor.”

Last week, over 70 teens from the Cteen Summer Camp in Bellvue packed into Chabad UW for lunch.

It was incredible.

They came to check out JewDub, the hub for Jewish life at the University of Washington, and to get a real taste of what it means to be Jewish on a college campus.

It’s likely that many of these will come to UW while quite a few of them already had siblings who’ve been a part of Chabad UW.

Either way, we hope they’ll check out Chabad wherever they go to college.

Thank you C-Teen for giving us the honor of hosting the teens for lunch. It’s an inspiring group!

Over this summer, we have been meeting and connecting with leaders across the University of Washington to deepen our partnerships and ensure we can support every single Jewish Husky.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of meeting with Daniel Pollack, Divisional Dean of Natural Sciences.

UW is lucky to have leaders like Dan.

We had a wonderful meeting with University of Washington School of Dentistry Dean Andre Ritter and Chanira Reang Sperry.

We learned about the wonderful resources the dental school provides for its students and discussed partnering and supporting Jewish students in dental school.

The University of Washington School of Dentistry is globally recognized as an elite institution. Thank you to the leadership for all your devotion.

That's a wrap on graduation season 🎓

With the university-wide commencement on Shabbat, we couldn't be at the main ceremony. So we did our best to show up everywhere else, including as many departmental graduations as we could to cheer on our students and celebrate alongside their families.

Proud parents, excited siblings, loving grandparents, amazing friends. The energy was everything.

Graduation is a huge deal, bittersweet and all, and we felt every bit of it.

But here's the thing: you can graduate UW, but you cannot graduate JewDub!

Mazal tov to the Class of 2026!
