In our Nature Play classes this week, we're learning all about COLOR in a messy, mixing, mashing, sensory way. It's a beautiful day for some paint tossing, don't you think?! :)

We had so much fun at Nature Play this week! In honor of setting the clocks forward this weekend, we searched around for signs of Spring, sang about butterflies, and made nature potions. Happy Spring Forward, y'all!

This is such a great reminder! Whether you have a sensory-seeking OR sensory-adverse kiddo, digging in dirt, mud, and sand is a wonderful learning experience!

Did you know that digging in the dirt provides great "heavy work" to the muscles and joints? 🌿💦

This resistance helps to neurologically override the light touch sense of "messy fingers & hands" that can feel aversive to so many children. Overtime, providing more full-body sensory experiences (especially outdoors!) helps to create effective changes to the senses. Children start to tolerate new textures and play scenarios.

Just Between Us Grown Ups—International Mud Play We get it. Messy mud play is not always a grown up's dream. No matter how you and your kids feel about mud, you can still get all the goodness. It's just a matter of finding out your way to do mud play.
