An absolute honor. We are in our 13th year of providing services on behalf of Black Male youth & adults. You probably ask each of us why we do it and we all have different answers. In its simplest form we are supposed to do it. September had about 37 days in it, some travel, new job who dis, some art, old friends and new artsy places and hey, the Scholarship Gala is coming up, do you have your tickets and or Harlem Nights attire? If not, buy the tickets!

This young guy couldn’t imagine leaving home, opening a school inside of media company that’s creating a sports league from the ground up to leave that dream role and to go “home again” and come full circle to lead a state wide agency serving 5,000 students and families with the ethos of equity, innovation and choice for families and students who have historically been furthest form educational outcomes they deserve. Humbled and excited to lead alongside amazing school leaders, Commissioner’s, an amazing CSC team and most importantly students and families.

2 celebrations/graduations. 105 miles round trip. A retirement party for a legend. Game night with black lunch meats and cheese. 14 hours. Let’s ride. Gentle reminder and for those who need more, “but did you die?”!
