Announcing Morningside's 34th Annual Summer School Institute! - https://mailchi.mp/fda2a6117050/announcing-morningsides-28th-annual-summer-school-institute-20302076
Daniela is orginially from Brazil and she's currently studying at Columbia University's Teacher's College in New York. We loved having her at Morningside for the Summer Institute this year! Here's what Daniela had to say about her experience: "Getting to know more about MMGI (The Morningside Model of Generative Instruction) has inspired me as a behavior analyst and teacher. MMGI's phases are comprehensive, addressing the learner's foundational skills all the way to the application of what has been learned at school in novel circumstances outside the classroom. The connection between John Dewey's ideas and behavior analysis is fantastic and sets the stage for a new perspective on discovery learning. Rather than having just a few learners thrive while others are carried on throughout the school years without truly benefitting, MMGI demonstrates that discovery learning can be engineered by intelligent instructional design, promoting the process of contingency adduction." We look forward to seeing how Daniela applies what she learned here in her work!
Chris came from Arizona to join us for MSI this year and his favorite thing about the experience was being part of community that's passionate about student learning. He enjoyed learning about our model with our instructors and faculty and meeting experienced educators from all over the world. We look forward to hearing how he uses what he learned here in his daily work in Arizona!

Last week a group of local educators and their colleagues from Japan visited Morningside Academy. They had a chance to observe several classrooms and talk to students about the work we do here. It was wonderful to see our students engage with the visitors and showcase the skills they've learned at Morningside!
