Seattle Kitchen Gardens

Helloooo! It’s been quiet on this account for awhile and I’m popping back on here to break the silence and announce that this summer we found out we are expecting a baby boy early next year!💙

On top of that there are some super exciting updates in the works for Seattle Kitchen Gardens that I couldn’t not be more excited about🤯🥹🤩😭

So stick around because I’ll be sharing those updates with the world in the coming months!

In the meantime, here are some snippets from our life and gardening season at home:
1. Bb announcement photo we took on our family vaca to Banff this summer!
2. Added a fifth bed and a Freyr trellis this year. Close friends know I’ve been salivating over these for awhile and finally installing the dandelion yellow one was an exciting day. We’re working on adding a cedar fence and a gravel pathway to spruce things up a bit!
3. My bestie and her fam (including her veg garden loving daughter) visited this summer. She had the best time harvesting more hakurei turnips every time we passed by the garden beds!
4. My favorite veg I grew this year was radicchio😍 Turned each one of them into gorgeous caesar salads for the fam
5. (not pictured) One of my dearest friends knew I was struggling 1st trimester and spent a whole day cleaning up and planting some last minute summer crops with me. I’m so thankful for her🌻 Community is everything💛

I love the underestimated beauty of a fall and winter garden. Production slows down, vegetation tastes sweeter with frost, spent plants begin to decompose - preparing the garden for another year of life!

Had so much fun putting on a Microgreen Growing Workshop this week for some of the sweetest ladies I know! It was the perfect way to spend a summer evening with friends🪴

We went from mixing our own garden cocktails and mocktails to getting our hands dirty planting greens we can grow indoors for our families💚
