You can say all the right things in a fight and still feel completely disconnected the second it's over.
That's because most of what we call "communication skills" only ever reaches the head. The scripts, the "I" statements, the frameworks. Useful, but incomplete.
Real change, the kind that actually shifts a relationship, has to reach the body too. Your nervous system doesn't care how well-worded your feelings statement was if your shoulders are still braced and your breath is still shallow.
This is one of the five necessary shifts we talk about at PowerfuLove: from autopilot to conscious response. Awareness equals choice equals power. Butand awareness has to live somewhere real, not just in the vocabulary.
