to our experience at NCORE last year!
Faculty, staff, and leadership attended workshops and panels on inclusive learning and accessibility, student and staff empowerment, and frameworks for program development. We left with new ideas, inspiration, and connections that continue to shape our work.
In the year since, we've seen these lessons take root in concrete ways through curriculum updates and strategic shifts, as well as in more intangible ones, like a deepened sense of community and belonging within our program.
We're grateful for how this conference brought our team together and continues to inform the work we do.

Congratulations to Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care, one of our community partners and internship sites, on becoming a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic!
This certification expands access to comprehensive, coordinated care by ensuring clients of Valley Cities receive services regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.
We're proud to partner with Valley Cities and excited about the impact this certification will have for the communities they serve and our students who train there.

Last month, PSYCAP's Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Committee hosted an Alumni and Student Coffee Chat!
This event brought together alumni and current students for an evening of connection and community. It was a relaxed space to build relationships across the PSYCAP community, and for students nearing graduation to hear from alumni about their experiences and post-graduation journeys.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and a huge thank you to our IDEA Committee members, Brenna, Abril, Caleb, and Edgar, for creating this opportunity to connect!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and marks a time to recognize and reflect on the importance of mental health in our communities and the work being done to support it.
Our students and graduates are on the front lines of this work every day, providing care to children, families, and communities across Washington and beyond. Their dedication reminds us that mental health matters.
Join us in celebrating the clinicians doing this essential work and recommitting to building a future where mental health support is available to all who need it!

Today is Children's Mental Health Awareness Day, a reminder that mental health matters at every age.
Children and adolescents deserve access to compassionate, evidence-based care that supports their growth and well-being. Our students and graduates are working toward that goal every day, serving young people and families across communities throughout our region.
Let's continue building a future where every child has the support they need to thrive!
