Up today is a truly fantastic piece of historical Toyota North American literature. This trade publication features an amazing list of Toyota equipment suppliers and historical photographs. The year was 1963 and Toyota was fighting HARD to build the US market. At this point in time, Land Cruiser sales were carrying the Toyota brand in the US. Their passenger cars were not selling and it wouldn’t be until 1965 that the Corona would be introduced and sales would climb. So in this period Toyota was doing everything they could to bolster their image and appeal in this huge fledgling market. I have never seen so much cool detail on their suppliers in one publication. We encourage you all to head over to the website where you can view this large magazine. Head to literature- brochures and then 1960s.
