Calling all NCSs, Doulas, Nannies, and parents! Self-care can be really challenging to prioritize when so much of yourself goes into caring for others. Count the tiny wins and start with the small moments. Try intentionally doing one thing that makes you feel good each day. The practice of considering your own needs can make a huge difference in how you feel when you’re in the thick of it.

I was blown away when I realized I could provide travel support for the families I work with as a NCS and Postpartum Doula. The work challenges me to use all of my newborn care skills that I’ve acquired, to stay calm, adapt, and stay up to date on the ever-changing rules of travel, domestic and abroad. Sometimes it’s challenging and sometimes it’s smooth sailing, but it’s always rewarding and meaningful.

Looking back on 2023, I feel grateful. There were wins and challenges, and at the end of it all, I was able to educate, provide newborn care, connect with the NCS community, travel, and grow as a person (shout out to ). Here’s to another year!
