It is incredibly important to lean on WHO YOU ARE and WHERE YOU COME FROM to craft the stories that will take us to a future where everyone matters. At South End Stories, the creative process is a revolutionary practice that gives youth the opportunity to learn valuable skills all while connecting youth to memory, place, justice, and community.
We are excited to share our annual report with you. Please check out the link on the last slide. š„
Let us know in the comments what resonated with you and why! Love what you see? Support our work to engage youth in the art of storytelling in 2026 by becoming a monthly donor. š„

Students in our 2025 Summer Teen Theatre Intensive had the opportunity to see Porscha Shaw in the 5th Ave production of After Midnight. She then joined us for a short Q&A, where she reflected on her journey as an actor, helped us understand musicals versus straight plays, and shared actionable tips for moving through the industry.
Our Summer Teen Theatre Intensive is designed to help youth build performance skills and get college-ready by learning directly from industry professionals.

This Summer South End Stories teaching artists spent seven weeks with four classes of elementary school students at the Summer Learning Program of the Chinese Information & Service Center (CISC). During this residency, we introduced puppetry as a means to investigate identity, build up a sense of community, and confirm the meaningfulness of places and home. As a final celebration, the students performed to elders at Legacy House in the International District. We had such a great time creating and performing with all of these beautiful and unique puppets. Thank you CISC for having us!
