From Madeline:
You are warmly invited to my Cornerstone, my junior recital, on November 18th at 8 pm at the Raisbeck Auditorium. I have been curating this concert for many months and am extremely excited to be presenting a combination of covers and originals with my wonderful band. I hope to see you there!
From Abby:
Ride of the Valkyrie revolves around the bringers of Death in Norse Mythology, usually after a long battle well fought, they take you away to a better place. In this project, there is exploration of iconic female leads in various operas throughout the centuries experiencing their final moments after a battle with themselves, usually due to a man, or wishing death upon a man who has scorned them. No matter the situation, The Valkyrie is always there, ready to perform her duty. Performing pieces from Dido and Aeneas, Peer Gynt, Phantom of the Opera, The Magic Flute and Romeo and Juliet, with Silas Berlin on piano and guest artist Angel Martinez singing the role of Romeo.
