Your body is constantly sending you signals. Are you listening?

Morning headaches. Waking up exhausted even after eight hours of sleep. Dry mouth. Brain fog that won’t quit. Loud snoring that keeps your partner awake. These symptoms often become “normal” simply because they’ve been happening for so long. But they shouldn’t be ignored.

If several of these sound familiar, your body might be trying to tell you something important. These warning signs could point to sleep apnea, a treatable condition that affects your health and quality of life.

Don’t dismiss what your body is telling you. The first step is understanding what’s really going on. Schedule your free 15-minute telehealth consultation and get answers!

Maybe you gave up on better sleep years ago.

Maybe you tried a treatment that didn’t work, had a bad experience, or eventually decided this was just something you had to live with.

But sleep medicine has continued to evolve.

There are more treatment options available today, and a thorough re-evaluation can uncover possibilities that may not have been available the last time you looked for answers.

And that matters, because untreated sleep problems don’t necessarily stay contained to the night. Over time, poor sleep can quietly impact your health, energy, focus, mood, and quality of life.

One treatment not working does not mean nothing will.

If it’s been years since you’ve explored your options, it may be worth taking another look.

It’s not too late to fix your sleep. Better sleep is still on the table.

This one feels especially meaningful.

I had the privilege of serving for several years as part-time faculty with LSU School of Dentistry’s Continuing Dental Education program, and I’m excited to return this October as the keynote speaker for Alumni Day 2026.

I’ll be speaking about the primary care dentist’s role in sleep and breathing and the importance of early, proactive intervention in supporting healthy breathing for life.

I’m also looking forward to spending time with LSU’s graduate residents for an additional lecture and hands-on workshop.

It’s always a privilege to teach, and even more special to return to a place that has been part of my journey in dental education.

Morning headaches. Afternoon crashes. Waking up groggy, no matter how long you were in bed. These get written off as normal, but they can be quiet signs of disrupted sleep. If a few of these sound familiar, it’s worth a closer look.
