We had so much fun with the legend of Sasquatch this week! This iconic PNW Forest Protector, represents so much of what we love about learning and appreciating the outdoors; We take into consideration the needs of the plants and animals that live in the forest, and walk quietly and respectfully.🫈🌲 And of course you can’t celebrate Sasquatch in Seattle without learning a little bit about our resident muralist Ryan Henry Ward and trying our hand at his whimsical style!

We spent all week finding out facts and lore about these often misunderstood rodents! Beavers are a keystone species, creating wetlands and habitat for other living creatures! Forest School looks forward to low tide season all year! The class walks from Carkeek to Golden Gardens discovering all sorts of creatures we don’t get to see the rest of the year! Geoducks, Anemones, Giant Volcano Barnacles, sea stars, Dungeness Crabs and Moon Snails! We also love it when the wind kicks up just right and we can try our hand at kit flying while we splash and chitter-chat with friends!
