This interdisciplinary program is designed for students with backgrounds in computer science, mechanical engineering, or electrical and computer engineering who want to deepen their expertise in robotic control systems, AI, and automation. Graduates will be prepared for careers in robotics or advanced research.

We’re thrilled to celebrate Shivangi Sharma, a dedicated student at Northeastern University – Seattle, who recently started her journey at Seattle Public Utilities! This incredible milestone highlights Shivangi’s hard work, resilience, and the power of a supportive community.

Shivangi shares: “This has been one of the most important milestones in my life, and I am forever grateful to so many people. Alongside my manager at SPU, I want to thank my professors at Northeastern University Seattle and [their] unwavering support. Thank you is a small word, but it’s the best I can say!”

The Climate Resiliency Hack: Lightning Strikes brought together Northeastern University’s global community across seven campuses to tackle extreme weather challenges, showcasing incredible collaboration and innovation.

Students addressed issues like sea level rise in Maine, forest fire pollution in Oakland, sewer overflow in Toronto, crop impacts on native lands in Vancouver, and resource distribution during Seattle’s heat waves, each with regional solutions. Congratulations to the Seattle-based team for winning with CoolAid, an app enabling local resource sharing for heat relief.

Opened on Oct. 15, the building at 310 Terry Ave. North is located in the center of Northeastern’s campus in Seattle’s South Lake Union Neighborhood.
