Ms. Samantha and Ms. Tia were a hit at the City of SeaTac - Government Back-to-School Resource Fair yesterday! With a spinning prize wheel, giveaways, and enrollment information, they had a near constant stream of visitors to their booth!

Whether you're prepping for a newborn or adjusting a seat for a growing toddler, installing car seats correctly can be surprisingly tricky. In fact, national data shows only 1 in 4 are installed the right way.

Our Back-to-School Resource Fair is tomorrow, Thursday, August 14 10:00-2:00 p.m. Don't miss out on a free backpack and school supplies for K-12. We'll have community resources, giveaways, live music and free food! Fun for the whole family at Valley Ridge Community Center and Ball Field, 4644 S. 188th St in SeaTac. See you there!

Let's talk about SAND!

The sandbox is a year-round favorite part of our playground, and even though it probably seems like you end up with half the sandbox in your car at the end of the day, have you ever thought about what your kids are learning/developing from all that sand?

🧹Proprioception - the feeling of the sand and the uneven surface helps them build balance and learn where their body is in space;
🧹Social skills - working together to dig or build;
🧹Sharing - because there are so many cool toys!;
🧹Teamwork - it takes more than one person to dig a huge hole;
🧹Unstructured outdoor play...and so much more!
