Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating our Study Abroad Photo Contest (SAPC) participants at CSU Monterey Bay’s VPA Gallery in CAHSS 504.

Students who studied abroad shared not only their photos, but the stories behind them—capturing moments of cultural discovery, personal growth, and connection across borders. Hearing them reflect on why they took each photo added depth and meaning that truly brought their experiences to life.

We also recognized their work with certificates of participation, honoring the thoughtfulness and creativity they brought to documenting their journeys.

Thank you to all the students who contributed their voices and perspectives. Events like this remind us how powerful study abroad can be—not just in where students go, but in how they see and understand the world.
