Chartwell School

Chartwell School Because not all great minds think alike. Chartwell offers a full 2-12 program that covers the same material as any other school in California.

We offer grades 2-12 the knowledge, creativity, and skills in self advocacy and perseverance needed to thrive in college and beyond. The difference is we use research-based methodologies to help our students overcome learning difficulties while also unleashing their exceptional minds. Our academic culture values students who learn differently. Chartwell’s class sizes are small so teachers can adap

t instruction to individual needs. We have a student body that is creative, fun and positive. At Chartwell, you will discover a school with a skilled and caring faculty who embrace their responsibilities and work continually to be better teachers and better people.

Yesterday was our faculty and team members' first day back on campus. We kicked off the morning with teambuilding, reconnecting, and some fun as a group. Team meetings, updates, and professional development continue throughout the week.

Interim Head of School Jodi Amaditz also unveiled our word of the year: Discover. Not about searching for something new — but discovering the strengths we already have, the opportunities in front of us, and the connections that make this team what it is.

Here we come, 2026-2027! 🧭

Until next time! Thank you to our students, team members, and families who made Summer @ Chartwell so great 🤩

That's a wrap on the first week of Summer at Chartwell!

We closed out the week with three sessions of rocket launches, where the joy of learning and discovery was on full display. This week was all about hands-on exploration, building confidence, and proving that when curiosity is given room to grow, the sky is truly the limit. 🌟

Join us in congratulating this year’s incredible award recipients, who embody the heart and strength of our community:

⭐ High School Student of the Year: Bella J.

📋 High School Faculty of the Year: Coach Joseph Aleru

✨ The Courageous Spirit Award: Luca P. & Greg L.

This year marked the special return of the Courageous Spirit Award after a long absence, brought back specifically to honor two incredible students from our Lower and Middle Schools. Presented by longtime friend of Chartwell, Shary Farr, in honor of our co-founder, Nicki McMahan, this award celebrates a student’s unwavering positive attitude, resilience, and everyday kindness. We are so proud to revive this meaningful tradition!
