This week, Mrs. Grate and Mrs. Martin are attending EAST Seminar, spending the week learning, collaborating, and bringing back new ideas to strengthen the EAST programs at Searcy Schools!

We are especially proud to celebrate a few exciting milestones:
🎉 Mrs. Martin was recognized for 10 years of dedicated service to EAST, a testament to her commitment to empowering students through service, leadership, and innovation.
🏆 All three of our EAST programs were also recognized as Programs of Influence—an incredible honor that reflects the outstanding work of our students, facilitators, administrators, and community partners.

We can't wait to bring everything we're learning back to our students and continue making a positive impact in our schools and community. đź’™

Elisabeth Baldridge, Abigail Ganus, and Grace McClelland spent time at the EAST Initiative Headquarters today along with students from other programs helping with new facilitator training. New facilitators interview current EAST students to see what EAST classrooms are really like from student perspectives.

EAST values student input and sees this as one of the most influential parts of Phase I training for facilitators.

After months of planning and work, the ABC Garden Project came together in a beautiful way! This project started when 5th graders wanted to team up with McRae Elementary School PreK students. They 3D printed letter molds and made colorful cement letters. Today, Mr. Tommy Casey taught these students how to mix concrete to make mosaic stepping stones alongside the PreK students. We are so thankful for great community partnership and loved spending time with the PreK students today!
