Great news for Arkansas students who qualify for the Challenge Scholarship and have a SAI Score of 874 to -1,500! You get your SAI number after completing the FAFSA (https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch) and receiving your Student Aid Report(SAR). To qualify for the Challenge you will need to have a 2.5 GPA and either a 19 on your ACT (super score) or a 245.5 average on your accuplacer AND set up a SAMS account (https://portal-sams.adhe.edu/public/register).
Okay so the news now- if these things apply to you- you should be receiving $4,000 additional dollars from the Challenge (Challenge PLUS) for your first year. It will give you an additional $1,000 dollars for the following 2 years totaling $5,000. So a grand total of $20,000 in 4 years!!
Other brackets get money for the first year only- look below to see if your SAI number will receive additional funding from the state Challenge Plus.

5,750-7,999 $500 per sem $1,000 per sem
3,200-5,749 $1,000 per sem $1,500 per sem
875-3,199 $1,500 per sem $2,000 per sem
-1,500-874 $2,000 per sem $2,500 per sem
The bottom category will receive aid the 1st 3 years- $4,000 the first year and $1,000 for year 2 & 3.
