“Hi, I’m Erin Bolton, and my son, Logan, is in 3rd grade here at Westside! Logan has loved his time at Westside, and I’m excited to give back to the amazing staff and school community by serving as the 3rd Grade Representative for the PTO this year. I look forward to helping support our students, teachers, and families!”

She says,
“Getting to give back to the school that continuously pours into my kids, and even poured into me when I was a kid, feels so special! I’m grateful for the opportunity to support our teachers and students and get to sneak in a little extra love for my own kids while I’m there!”

Meet Megan Shourd! She is our Kindergarten Representative.

“Hi, I'm Megan Shourd. 2 out of 3 of my children attend Westside Elementary. Casey is going into 1st, and Conner is starting kindergarten. Being the PTO kindergarten representative is my chance to give back to the wonderful school that pours so much into my kids.”

Say hello to Sunnie Keck! She’s serving as our Communications Director.

Here’s what she has to say,

“I truly believe public schools are a vital resource to our communities, so I’m thrilled to help Westside in any way I can! My mom, Mrs. Rogers, is a second-grade teacher, and I have two sweet girls in Pre-K and first grade. I may not have grown up in Searcy, but Westside is quickly becoming home for us!”

Friendly reminder! Each student will receive a class shirt to be used at school events and field trips, etc. If you were unable to purchase your class shirts ($8) while at open house you can do so at the link below. If you’d like to donate the cost of a shirt we’d love that!

Meet our Treasurer, Jessica Foyil!

“I joined PTO initially to fill a needed position but after a very short time I grew to love my position and the entire group of PTO members. We get to help provide support for the teachers and staff to ensure WES students get the opportunity to have fun while learning. I have 2 children, my oldest just finished at Westside and is moving to middle school and my 2nd will be in kindergarten.

My favorite event is the Back to School Ball! A free event that families can come to dance, play and mingle with teachers and other students. It is a ball of fun.. 😉”

P.S.- Our Back To School Ball is coming up soon. Hope to see you all on September 10th!

Our friend Randall Lefler is our Secretary!

Randall says,
“I have really enjoyed being a member of PTO. I have loved getting to know the other members and participating in activities at my daughters’ school with other volunteers”

Your kiddos will likely see her smiling face on Friday mornings because Randall loves tattoo Fridays! If you’re new to Westside, we invite you to send $1 and get to school a few minutes early to have the opportunity to get a fun Searcy Lions tattoo before school starts! It’s a great way to show your Searcy pride and support the PTO!
