🌟 Alumni Spotlight: Dr. William Deese ’74

Last week, we had the pleasure of visiting with ASU-Beebe alumnus Dr. William Deese (Class of 1974) while he was back in town.

Dr. Deese, a chemistry professor at Louisiana Tech University, toured the ASU-Beebe Science Building with fellow alumni Savanah Brinkley (Class of 2022) and Janet Liles (Class of 1991). During the visit, he shared high praise for the facilities, noting that ASU-Beebe’s science spaces are on par with those found at major universities!

A former Beebe resident, Dr. Deese spoke fondly of his time at ASU-Beebe and the lasting impact it had on his life and career. We are proud to celebrate alumni like Dr. Deese, whose ASU-Beebe journey continues to inspire generations of future students.

Summer is the perfect time to get ahead and plan your fall schedule at ASU-Beebe! Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and the second most spoken language in the United States. It is used across Spain, Mexico, most of Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Learning Spanish builds strong communication skills, expands cultural understanding, and opens doors for careers, travel, and transfer opportunities.

ASU-Beebe Spanish courses introduce students to speaking, reading, and understanding the language while exploring the literature and cultures of Spanish-speaking communities. Courses are offered through the Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts (AALA) and Associate of Science in Liberal Arts and Science (ASLAS) programs, supporting a strong transfer pathway to a four-year institution.

🎓 Congratulations to our ASU-Beebe Agriculture Technology graduates on earning their John Deere certifications and their Associate of Applied Science in Agriculture Equipment Technology during a recent ceremony in Minot, North Dakota!

This marks the fourth year of this outstanding partnership and achievement. Since the program began, more than 30 students have earned John Deere Level 2 certifications, while 10 students have reached the advanced John Deere Level 3 certification. Through the strong partnership between ASU-Beebe and Gooseneck Implement, led by Don Faul, students receive hands-on training and real-world experience that prepares them to enter the workforce with the skills employers are seeking.

These accomplishments are made possible through the dedication of the Agriculture Technology faculty:
