These classes help build a strong foundation for those who may have been out of school for an extended period or struggled with reading, math or language in the past.
๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฑ๐๐น๐ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป (๐๐๐) ๐ฐ๐น๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ are for those who score high enough on the TABE assessment to prepare for the GEDยฎ. These classes are for those who have a solid foundation in reading, math and language but need instruction or practice with higher-level thinking skills in these subjects, as well as science and social studies.
๐๐ป๐ด๐น๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ (๐๐ฆ๐) ๐ฐ๐น๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ are offered on the Searcy campus. ESL classes are for those whose native language is something other than English and who want to learn to read, write and speak English. Enrollment includes taking the TABEยฎ Class-E to assess the studentโs level of knowledge in English.
๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ (๐ช๐๐๐) program is for any student, even one with a high school diploma. Students earn the certificate by working with a career coach and instructor to learn about workplace readiness, financial literacy, digital literacy, basic reading and math. Completing the WAGE certificate shows potential employers that a student has prepared for the workplace by a commitment to a goal and achieving at least 80% on all coursework.
๐๐ฟ๐๐๐ต-๐๐ฝ ๐ฐ๐น๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ are offered at each of our locations. Brush-up is for high school graduates needing refresher training before starting college.
The ๐๐๐ยฎ ๐๐
๐ฎ๐บ may be taken at our Searcy campus. The only cost associated with this test is $16 for students enrolled in our classes. Once a student meets or exceeds the required level on the assessment (TABEยฎ), they may proceed to the GEDยฎ Ready Test after a recommended number of hours of instruction, either in-class or online. Upon successful completion of all four sections of the GEDยฎ, the student will have earned an Arkansas High School Diploma. All graduates are encouraged to participate in our commencement exercises to celebrate their achievements.
๐ฆ๐ก๐๐ฃ ๐&๐ง ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ (๐๐บ๐ฝ๐น๐ผ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ & ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด) If you are a SNAP recipient and would like to be part of a program that helps you prepare for and find employment, our E&T program is for you. Individual coaching in employability skills, career interest inventories, resume writing and other skills is provided. ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฐ๐น๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐: We partner with local employers to provide free on-site training to workers who benefit from contextualized language, reading or math instruction.
๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐ช๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ & ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐ (๐๐๐) ๐ฅ๐ง๐ค๐๐ง๐๐ข๐จ are offered to qualifying Adult Education students at no cost. Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, these courses include Basic Welding,
Computerized Machining (CNC), and Ed Parapro.
