Cardiac devices are remarkable tools—but understanding the heart is where it all begins.

At CFIT, students learn to connect physiology, anatomy, technology, and clinical decision-making to better understand the patients behind the devices.

Because innovation matters. But knowing why it matters makes all the difference.

Last Friday, our CFIT students had the opportunity to introduce themselves to their new classmates through individual presentations.

Each student shared a little about their background, experiences, and what brought them to CFIT. It was a great way to begin getting to know one another and building the community that will carry them through their time here.

We’re looking forward to all that this group will learn from one another along the way.

One of the most valuable parts of CFIT is learning from those who have been in your shoes.

Today, we welcomed a CFIT alumnus back to campus to share his initial experiences working in the cardiac device industry. From transitioning from the classroom to the workplace to learning what it takes to succeed in the field, his perspective gave our students a firsthand look at what comes next.

We’re grateful for alumni who continue to invest in the next generation of CFIT students and remind us that the journey doesn’t end at graduation—it’s just the beginning.

CFIT reaches far beyond our own backyard.

Our newest cohort comes from a wide range of places, bringing different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to the CFIT community. Though they may come from different parts of the world, they are united by a shared purpose and a passion for the cardiac device industry.

Every pin on the map represents a student, a story, and a new connection.

We’re grateful for the places that brought them here—and excited for where their CFIT journey will take them.

Yesterday, our CFIT students were introduced to the cadaver lab—an invaluable opportunity to deepen their understanding of the human body and prepare for the work ahead.

We are incredibly thankful for Harding University’s Physical Therapy program and Dr. Anita Killins for leading this introduction and helping our students learn how to respectfully approach this important part of their education.

We are especially grateful to the donors who have generously given of themselves so that our students can learn, grow, and better understand the human body. We approach this experience with deep respect, gratitude, and a commitment to honor their generosity through our learning.

We are grateful for every person who makes opportunities like this possible for our CFIT students.

The new CFIT cohort has officially completed Pre-session.

We asked a few of our students to describe their first week at CFIT in just a few words—and their answers say it all!

From exciting to challenging to unforgettable, each response gives a glimpse into their experience so far.

This is just the beginning. We look forward to all that this year has in store!

Introducing the CFIT Class of 2027.

We are pleased to welcome 34 new students to the Cardiac Function & Interventional Technology program at Harding University. This exceptional cohort begins an important journey toward earning a master’s degree and preparing for careers in the cardiac device industry.

We look forward to the knowledge, experience, and perspectives each student will bring to the CFIT community. As they begin this next chapter, we are excited to support them as they learn, grow, and prepare to make a meaningful impact in their field.

There’s something special about a community that chooses to pour into the next generation.

During our CFIT Pre-session, several local businesses and community members generously provided lunch for our students—and we are incredibly grateful!

A huge thank-you to:
• Leon & Margaret Blue for bringing Wild Sweet Williams
• Bob & Ellen Watson for bringing This Guy’s
• Rees Jones & Simmons Bank for bringing KJ’s Market
• Tish Pace with RE/MAX for bringing Brick Oven Pizza
• James Gowen with State Farm for bringing Slim’s Chicken

We love the way the Searcy community has poured into our CFIT students—not just by providing a meal, but by reminding them that they are surrounded by people who believe in them.

And our hope is that someday, when these students are out working and serving in their own communities, they’ll remember what it looked like to be poured into—and choose to pour into others.

Thank you, Searcy for loving our students so well. We are grateful for you!

Last night was all about slowing down, connecting, and having a little fun!

CFIT students gathered at the Turley home for a relaxed welcome dinner filled with good food, games, laughter, and plenty of time to simply hang out and get to know one another. Before the busyness of the semester really gets going, it was a great opportunity to step away from the classroom and enjoy some time together.

We’re grateful for the chance to welcome this new group of students into the CFIT family. From shared meals to friendly competition and conversations around the table, nights like this are a reminder that CFIT is about more than earning a master’s degree—it’s about building relationships, creating community, and growing together.

We’re excited for all that’s ahead!

A strong start begins with strong leadership.

We were honored to welcome Harding University President Mike Williams to CFIT as our newest cohort begins their journey. His words of encouragement, vision, and support reminded our students that what they’re learning here is about more than a degree—it’s about preparing to make a meaningful impact in the cardiac device industry.

We’re grateful for leaders who take the time to invest in our students and remind them of the purpose behind the journey.
