Hey North Adams Elementary Families.....Great News! We have reached our goal to have all Final Forms completed, prior to August 31....That's right...100% of our students have Final Forms completed.

Thank you for making sure this very important task was taken care of early in the school year! To celebrate, all of our students will receive popsicles during their lunch within the next week.

It is our first "Toot Your Horn Tuesday" at North Adams Elementary. This is a fun way to recognize our staff in the building for the great things they are doing. Staff can nominate other staff members when they see them going above and beyond. Staff randomly selected can help themselves to a sweet treat, compliments of administration! They are also given a horn of their own to toot!

Here are this week's winners:
The 1st Grade Team: Nominated for keeping things in order during lunch time!

Mrs. Whalen: Nominated for creating our new spreadsheet for our pick-up procedures.

Mrs. Groves: Nominated because of the help she gave the sub when one of our employees had to take off work.

Ms. Mason: Nominated for doing great things in the classroom with the student she is currently serving. She continues to be actively present, while also taking the time to help others in need.

Mr. Bloom (Not Pictured): Nominated for always going above and beyond for the staff and students at NAES!

šŸ« STRIVE FOR 5. EVERY DAY COUNTS!

Every day in school matters! Regular attendance helps students stay connected, keep up with instruction, and make the most of every opportunity to learn.

We also know that there are times when mental health or behavioral health needs can become a barrier to regular attendance. Connecting students with the right supportā€”without requiring them to miss additional schoolā€”is one way we can work together to reduce chronic absenteeism.

Through ACOVSDā€™s partnership with R.E.A.C.H. for Tomorrow, students can access services right at school, during the school day.

Services include:
ā€¢ Mental health therapy
ā€¢ Case management
ā€¢ Substance abuse treatment and support, including v**e groups

Providing services at school means less time out of class, fewer disruptions to the school day, and greater access to support when students need it.

Our goal is simple: remove barriers, reduce absences, and help students stay present, engaged, and ready to learn.

ā­ Strive for 5. Every day counts!

1st Quarter- Miss 12 hours or less for the year
2nd Quarter- Miss 24 hours or less for the year
3rd Quarter- Miss 36 hours or less for the year
4th Quarter- MIss 48 hours or less for the year
