We collect can tabs all year long, every year - BUT, it's also our state's convention project this year.

If you want to help add to our collection, we will gladly turn them in for you! Simply drop them by the school or send them with a student at any time.

We'll also have a big collection day again in December :).

Planning for bus transportation for the 2026-2027 school year is underway.

To ensure your child is assigned transportation for the first day of school, bus requests must be submitted through your child's school by August 12, 2026.

If your child rode a bus last school year and still needs transportation, they will automatically remain in the system, and their route information will appear in the BusQuest app once assigned.

Requests submitted after August 12 may not be processed before the first day of school and could take up to two weeks after school begins to be approved. We will make every effort to accommodate all requests as quickly as possible.

Please check the BusQuest app regularly to verify your child's route assignment. If you have not already downloaded the app, we encourage you to do so to receive route information, notifications, and bus tracking updates.

If your child has been assigned to a route, please be aware that bus numbers, stop locations, and pickup/drop-off times may change during the first few weeks of school as routes are finalized and adjusted.

If your child no longer requires bus transportation, please complete the transportation cancellation form as soon as possible so we can update our records.

Beginning this school year, any last-minute route changes resulting from driver shortages will also be communicated through text messages. To ensure you receive these notifications, please verify that your home address and contact information are current. If updates are needed, contact your child's school.

Due to the ongoing nationwide bus driver shortage, some routes may include consolidated bus stops that require students to walk farther than in previous years. In addition, if a route is temporarily without a driver, buses may need to cover multiple routes, which could result in significant delays.

If you know someone interested in becoming a Moore County Schools bus driver, please encourage them to contact our Transportation Department at 910-947-5481 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

🏐 Calling All Rising 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Girls from Elise, Highfalls & Westmoore! 🏐

The Colts Volleyball Coaches are excited to invite you to our Open Gym Volleyball Nights!

Whether you've played before or are just curious about the sport, we'd love for you to join us! Open gym is an OPTIONAL, fun, low-pressure opportunity to learn the game, work on your skills, and meet the coaches before tryouts in October.

📅 Dates: Thursdays August 6th, August 13th, & August 20th
🕒 Time: 6pm - 8pm
📍 Location: Westmoore Gym

What to Wear / Bring:
🏐 Athletic Clothes
👟 Tennis Shoes
🦵 Knee Pads (if you have them)

No registration is required, just come ready to have fun!

We have an amazing community behind our students and school! Thank you all so much for all the things you do for our school throughout the year!

We added another NATIONAL award this morning - and this one is extra special to us.

Thanks to all of you in our school and community helping us collect donations for the Beta Serves project, we were one of the Top 10 schools in the nation!
