We’re making July a splash with our Summer Fun & Water Wonders theme! Our little learners will explore sunshine, water play, ocean life, and yummy summer treats while building new skills through hands-on activities.

🐣 TWO-YEAR-OLDS THEMES:
Week 1: Sunshine & Weather
Week 2: Water Play & Ice
Week 3: Ocean Animals & Beach
Week 4: Summer Treats — Fruit & Ice Cream

Activities for our 2s:
✔️ Story Time: "Spot Goes to the Beach"
✔️ Sensory: Water table fun & ice cube painting
✔️ Art: Sun handprint craft & sponge ocean painting
✔️ Songs: “Mr. Sun”, “Five Little Fish”
✔️ Gross Motor: Beach ball toss & splash pad days!

🧒🏽 3–5 YEAR OLDS THEMES:
Week 1: Summer Weather & Safety
Week 2: Water & How It Moves
Week 3: Ocean Life & Beach Fun
Week 4: Frozen Treats & Healthy Summer Foods

Activities for our 3–5s:
✔️ Read Alouds: "Pete the Cat: Pete at the Beach"
✔️ STEM: Sink or float, wave bottles
✔️ Art: Sand art, ocean collages
✔️ Writing: Ice cream cone tracing fun
✔️ Gross Motor: Water relay races & parachute waves
✔️ Cooking: Fruit popsicles!

🌊 SPECIAL SUMMER DAYS:
✅ Water Play Fridays — bring swim clothes & towels!
✅ Summer Snack Party with fruit kabobs
✅ Sun Safety — please pack hats & sunscreen.

Even while I’m away, the kiddos at Closing the Gap Learning Center are still learning, growing, and thriving!

This week, our little learners are diving into single-digit math — using hands-on activities to explore numbers, counting, and early addition. Whether it’s sorting toys, counting snacks, or singing number songs, we make math fun and meaningful for ages 3–5.
