Intentional planning is at the heart of More Than Play. Our founders’ clinical backgrounds as speech pathologists shape an immersive, purposeful experience for families.

Each week, we choose a theme that guides our activities and interactions, ensuring learning is focused, engaging, and aligned with our goals.

We also align special events with our weekly themes, giving families a seamless, holistic experience. Themed events help carry over vocabulary from classes, giving kids more chances to practice and reinforce skills in fun ways.

Stop by for open play and welcome our summer garden. Did you know the garden area of our play space rotates seasonally?

Our speech pathologist designed play space is language forward in that it intentionally embeds language skills in all aspects of play. The garden area encourages vocabulary exposure and new experiences by immersing your child in a themed and seasonally appropriated scene. Fishing, music by the campfire, making s’mores and catching bugs are just some summer things to do in our summer garden!

More Than Play was born in 2021 because as speech pathologists and moms, we saw something missing.

There were plenty of places for children to be occupied but not many spaces intentionally designed around how children actually learn, communicate, regulate, connect, and develop through play.

We wanted to create something different.

A space where play was “more.”
Where classes were rooted in child development.
Where families could feel supported, understood, and welcomed.
Where the people leading the classes had professional knowledge AND credentials behind the fun.

So we built the kind of place we wished existed for our kids.

A therapist-owned, language-forward, evidence-based, relationship-centered space where purposeful play and real expertise could coexist.

Play is magic on it’s own but who leads that play matters too!
