Today for our weekly all staff chapel, we celebrated with a Blessing of the Animals service with our furry and scaled friends for the Feast of St. Francis. The feast of St. Francis is a celebration to remember Saint Francis of Assisi, a 12th Century born patron saint of animals and the environment.
Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light; and
where there is sadness, joy.
O, God, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

The moment we have all been waiting for…the 2024 Summer Camp Schedule! Mark your calendars friends!
We’re excited to expand our Buddy Camps into Family Camps next summer to support all family and household structures!
We are also offering some intentional programming to cater to your camper’s interests including Boating, Sports, and Outdoor Adventure Camp! These sessions although shorter than our 5-day sessions, will follow the same schedule and campers will live in a Christian community through worship and camp traditions.
And last but certainly not least, Siblings Camp! This session allows siblings to attend camp together. Programming for this session will be designed to bring siblings closer to one another, while also providing time away from each other to connect with peers within their own grade levels.
More information will be released throughout the month of October on our website. Please visit our website for the most up to date information regarding camp.
We can’t wait to see you all next summer!

Update: We were very thankful today to find that we had no major damage to any buildings at our center. We are praying for those in our communities near and far who may have had damage or flooding impact their homes or faith communities. Here are a few pictures of some of our team members working hard to get our campus ready for guests tomorrow!

Last week The Rev. Last fall, Michelle Vitelli joined in the weekly Tuesday Holy Eucharist with Healing Prayer at The Prayer Center at St. Christopher. She asked for prayer at that time. A mass was growing at the base of her skull; physicians determined it was a large amount of walled-off scar tissue from her previous brain surgery. It was pressing on nerves and blood vessels causing severe head and neck pain. Prayers were offered for her that day, and over the course of the next few months. What happened next is an amazing and beautiful story of God’s healing. We encourage you to go to https://adosc.org/miraculous-healing-following-retreat-and-day-of-healing-prayer/ and read how God miraculously blessed Michelle through healing prayer!
