The Dallas Area Classic Chevy club began in 1976 and are celebrating 50 years in 2026. We welcome all Tri Five Chevy enthusiasts to join!

We began and continue to be devoted to all Classic 1955, 1956 & 1957 Chevy cars, trucks and Corvettes!

Another trip back in time as we continue to reflect our club's 50th Anniversary, this one from 2009 when our club participated in the Muscle Car Club drags at the Texas Motorplex, likely these are all round one losers and there's nothing left to do but watch 😀 from left to right is James Carson, Larry Rollow, Greg Hedum , Alan Strong and David Graves

Throwback Thursday we look back on the 50 year history of DACC and land in 2018 when our club hosted the Lone Star 36 Tri Five meet in Irving, and part of that weekend we ventured up to North Star Dragway for some drag racing. This shot captures Texas vs Oklahoma, '56 Vette vs '56 Vette, David Graves vs Tom Parson in a all Tri Five Vette grudge match under the lights!

October has arrived and that means the time to flip your DACC 50th Anniversary Celebration calendar over to the next month has arrived! In October we feature Andy and Pat Kuchta's gorgeous '55 Chevy pickup from Coppell, Texas. Tri Five Chevy pickups are cool!

Another look back on our club's half a century of Tri Five Chevy history. The time machine takes us to 1980 at the Waco Street Machine Mini Nationals held at Ft Fisher Park, this annual event was a Memorial Day highlight for many years that DACC attended. Here in this action photo is our Ray Trevathan running for the ladies panties while wife Margaret serves as the getaway driver in a contest called the 'Panty Dash'. Not sure if Ray won the event but he looks like he may have practiced at home and should have done well! Ray was one of several nationally recognized restorers of Tri Five Chevys our club has had over the past 50 years and sadly Ray passed on in 2000.

Club Members - SAVE THE DATE - Saturday October 24th we bring back the DACC Garage Crawl as we will be in Pilot Point to see the amazing collections, rides and shops of club members Dennis Gormley and Mark Billington, you will not be dissapointed! Then we will head over to Bebo's Cafe for lunch and experience yet another over the top lunch spot with a crazy automotive vibe! Throwback Thursday finds the DACC on TV in 2006 as WFAA Channel 8 did a live remote from Market Hall of our club's display of all 1956 Chevrolets as we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the '56 Chevy! Here in the driver's seat of his '56 Convertible is Joe Gaikowski with Dennis Gormley riding sh***un and behind him is Bill Preston and directly behind Joe is Mike Castellucci of WFAA doing the interviews.

Reflecting back on our club's 50 years, this photo is from 1989 of then DACC President Mike Russell and his wife JoAnn in their '56 210 Sedan on the road to the Lone Star Classic Chevy Convention in San Angelo. Mike's '56 is a bit unique in that two '56 210's were used to make this one! One car was purchased in Oak Cliff and the other was purchased in Garland, both needing a lot of love! With the help of club members, Mike along with many hacksaw blades cut the cars up until there was one. Powered by a hopped up 6cyl, the car won a Silver Certificate in the '56 Custom Class at the 1991 Classic Chevy Intl Convention in Dallas.

2026 marks a half a century for the DACC and lots of memories, this Throwback Thursday takes us to 1979 when our club hosted the Classic Chevy Club Dallas Regional Convention at what was then the Registry Hotel at Mockingbird and Stemmons Freeway, this is one of the highlight pages from the Classic Chevy World magazine.

Throwback Thursday this week takes us to N Richland Hills for the Christian Classic Cruisers show in 2009 that our club participates in each year (along with our 'Dinner Before the Show'), we do it again this Saturday, Sept 19th and we are parking up front as DACC is the 'Club of the Month' so plan to join us like this photo from 17 years ago!
