Supporting the next generation of women in STEM! Johnson College received a $5,000 grant from the Fastenal BK5K Youth Fund Committee to support the College’s Girls on Fire events.

Girls on Fire gives students in grades 6–9 the opportunity to explore STEM and trade careers through hands-on activities, campus tours and conversations with women in the industry.

Thank you to Fastenal Company for helping us inspire more young women to pursue careers in STEM and the trades!

Huge thanks to the PPL Foundation for helping us inspire the next generation of STEM learners!!

Johnson College received a $10,000 grant from the PPL Foundation to support our After School STEM Experience Program!

The program gives 100 middle school students the opportunity to explore robotics, 3D printing, computer programming, electrical circuits, and more through hands-on, project-based learning.

And that's a wrap on our 2026 summer camps! We ended the summer with two amazing camps - Animal Science & Aviation/Aerospace!

In our Animal Science camp, campers learned about 3D prosthetics for animals, the pet food industry, and even dissected an animal kidney!

In the Aviation/Aerospace camp, campers made different types of rockets, learned the basics of physics, and made contraptions to keep their eggs safe from an egg drop.
