As graduation season is celebrated across the globe, we join in congratulating the recent graduates of ASEC’s Higher Education for Sisters in Africa (HESA) program at the The Catholic University of Malawi.

Marywood University President Lisa A. Lori, J.D., recently joined fellow delegates of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) for a special audience with Pope Leo XIV in Rome on June 3, 2026.

Pope Leo XIV spoke about the importance of helping students develop “a true passion for the truth” and highlighted the vital role Catholic education plays in today’s rapidly changing world.

For more than 25 years, ASEC has educated Catholic sisters across Africa, helping them strengthen their leadership and expand their impact in the communities they serve.

We need your help to unlock a challenge matching grant. Thanks to a generous sponsor, every dollar will be matched up to $50,000. This means that a $20 gift becomes $40, a $50 becomes $100, and a $100 becomes $200!
