Great news!!

Student Veterans of America National Conference is on February 19th and 20th. NatCon is the largest annual convening of Post-9/11 veterans in the world. This year, NatCon is fully virtual and all student registrations fees are being waived.

Rank: E-4/Specialist
Mos: 19k/63H
Mos job description:
19kilo - works as part of a team to operate armored equipment and fire weapons to destroy enemy positions. During combat, their role is to operate tanks and amphibious assault vehicles to engage and destroy the enemy.
63 hotel- primarily responsible for performing maintenance on tracked vehicles and supervising activities that include fuel and electrical system repair and maintenance.
Major: B.S. criminal justice
Career goal: Civil rights attorney
I was born, and raised in New York City in which I enlisted in the army to conduct track vehicle repair on thanks, then reclassified to the armor division in which I became a tank driver. Since contract expiration I enrolled in college, and have high hopes for the future."

M.O.S (My main job while I was enlisted): Field Radio Operator

Served for 4 years which included two combat tours in Iraq."

"I was in the Marine Corps from 2012-2016. I have one more semester at Lackawanna then plan on obtaining my Masters after. One interesting thing about me is I am the worlds greatest pokemon trainer 😎😎"

Our first student spotlight is on David Ramirez. "I retired from the United states Navy on Oct 1st, 2013 after serving this grateful nation for 27 years. I retired with the rank of Chief Petty Officer ( E-7) I served on multiple ships, Military Hospitals as well as Aviation Squadrons. My last tour of duty was in NYC, where I was the Director of medical services. Overall, my duties in the Navy consisted of taking care of the injured and preparing reservist for war. I truly miss serving in the military. If I can go back tomorrow I would do another 27 years with no hesitation. My sincere thank you to everyone that supported us and continue to support those that are still serving. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
