Today, we remember the service, sacrifice, and selflessness from our fallen soldiers. Historically, Memorial Day was originally known as Decoration Day, as people would decorate the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers.

Congratulations to Prof. Kate Cummings, Research & Instruction Librarian for Business, on being awarded the Provost's Beloved Community Award. The award recognizes a faculty member whose teaching, scholarship, and/or service significantly advance the University's Jesuit, Catholic mission by fostering a campus culture rooted in justice, human dignity, and solidarity. Kate embodies this award through her research, service, and librarianship on topics ranging from DEI, intellectual freedom, and professional leadership.

The Gaming Round Table of the American Library Association participates in International Game Month in November and works with game publishers to distribute games to libraries of all types by drawing.
