In just 15 months, our students are prepared for NCLEX and become nurses. 🩺

Inside our simulation lab at CTC of Lackawanna County, practical nursing students work through situations they may face at the bedside, from hands-on assessments and nursing skills to medication dose calculations and responding when a patient’s condition suddenly changes.

It’s where classroom lessons become hands-on learning, with opportunities to ask questions, think through decisions, and build confidence.

A day of community, big dreams, and brighter futures at CTC! 🩺📚✨

Thank you to Senator Rosemary Brown for visiting CTC of Lackawanna County today! We were honored to share the important role our skilled trades, career and technical education, and adult programs play in creating opportunities for learners at every stage of life. Through hands-on experiences and practical skills, CTC helps high school students and adult learners build confidence, pursue meaningful careers, and improve their quality of life while strengthening our local workforce. Our Practical Nursing Department was especially grateful for the opportunity to highlight how we prepare the next generation of compassionate, skilled nurses to care for our community.

Thank you to our class representatives for speaking on behalf of your classes, you all did a great job!!

We also celebrated Dolly Day in honor of Dolly Parton and her Imagination Library! Our school showed up in country attire, pink, and sparkles, collecting monetary and book donations to support big dreams and brighter futures for children in Lackawanna County. 📚💖🤠

🩵💜💚 Today, our practical nursing students dressed down for a meaningful cause, wearing teal, purple, and green in recognition of Su***de Prevention Month and mental health awareness.

As future nurses, our students are learning that compassionate care includes listening without judgment, supporting mental health, and helping others feel seen and heard. That compassion starts with how we care for one another.

We’re proud of our students for sharing this reminder: You matter. You belong. You don’t have to face difficult days alone. 💚💜🩵
