Domestic violence affects people of all ages and backgrounds and is not confined to any one economic, racial, gender, cultural or societal group. Its impact affects children, families, schools, neighborhoods and communities. For 50 years, WRC, Inc., formerly the Womenโs Resource Center, has served victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence by providing crisis intervention, advocacy, safe housing, legal services and prevention education. Preventing domestic violence requires the collective efforts of a host of organizations, caring individuals, and law enforcement personnel to assist victims and to educate our communities.
